gives surprising performance for the buck. I was running AMD r7 Dual graphics and decided to go with this card.. solo. I was shocked by the increased framerate and the 3D mark benchmarks it produced. I am very happy with this card. it is great for low budget builds.

I remember when I thought..Hmmm SSD.. sounds so good, but the price! It will be a long time before I can test drive one of those, and then.. they became more cost effective than I could dream and I wouldnt turn back, Noticeable speed from the moment you boot, and now at a price we can all afford and so many cloning softwares for free its a breeze to tap your old drive and load it all to the new ssd. I have three of these in three separate home builds. so far they have been dependable, and have made a singificant speed difference.

I gave this 4 stars not because it is a bad product, it is actually a good one, but you get what you pay for. the range is awesome for the money, yet wont be as effective as the more expensive models offered. if your in an apartment or small house with a decent modem... this is the card you want.

I want to place 2 of the cameras about 900' from the recorder. Can I run this much cable without problems?
Yes you can, but you will have to buy the additional cable lengths separately

Can you tell me if this , or for that matter any SSD will work with an Ubuntu OS?
Yes it will. I ran linux mint and ubuntu on 2 different SSD'd.. the PNY And Kingston. I dont think the OS is as choosey about the drive as it is the motherboard and especially processor architecture. Its usually the later which determines what OS can be loaded and used in the system.. for instance..on older pc's as you know, you cannot load a 64 bit version of windows on the system since the MB and/or Processor are only capable of handling 32 bit architecture, which is why most older Dells with windows xp cannot upgrade to newer versions of windows.. However, since Ubuntu and Linnux are very versitile OS's they will work in those older pc's. So in short, its usually a case of onboard RAM or processor, or the age of the MB if it cant be further updated for upgrade, that delegates the OS.. not so much the drive, if at all.

There is an easy solution.. without having to depend on offers. there are many free cloning software ads on google, but in my experience with cloning for my home Builds.. Macrium Reflect has worked just fine for me. (the free version). www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx. Good luck.

Will this drive work "good" paired with a MSI A88X-G45 Gaming Motherboard?
There's no reason why it should'nt, However, if you are using a gaming motherboard, and are gaming, I would suggest investing in a Solid state drive for your OPS, and use a drive like this as storage for games music etc, and look into using ramdisk, for extra Speed for gaming, if you have enough RAM in your pc, as the game loads from storage onto your ram amd operated from the ram. Hope this helps.

What is the next graphics card upgrade option for a HP Pavilion a430n that works with Win7?
The Windows Upgrade Advisor states my graphics card will not work well with my Windows 7 upgrade. I know have a Standard VGA graphics card. The next step up is what I believe I need but I don't have any experience upgrading hardware of this type. OS=Win7; Processor=2.2Ghz
I would try a smaller older Nvidia, or gtx standalone card. By standalone I mean one which will draw power from your PCI slot alone and not need the 4 or 6 pin power cord addition since your system is older generation.. I believe it came with 512 MB installed ram and can only go to a max 2 GB upgrade, which tells us that your probaby in the ddr2 range, or less when it comes to ram classification. Your also running an AMD processor so you do have an option of trying a cheaper AMD r7 series card like a 240 which will give better results than a generic card of the class you mention. good luck.
