While laptop is a decent value the issue is that they advertise up to 17 hours of battery use. That is just ridicules. I am getting no more than 5 hours tops. This is with no real processing going on as I am simply using the laptop as a remote login to my desktop computer. This is blatantly false advertising.

Can you change scroll direction (swap) on a windows 10 pc, Mac lets you change scroll direction or reverse direction of operation of scroll, so can I do that when using it on a Windows 10 pc?

You stated ALL apps require you to list a current provider. Which ones are you referring to as the only ones I know that require this are providers like HBO, Starz, etc. Apps like HULU, Amazon Prime, NetFliX etc do not require a provider? They do expect you to log in and provide proof that you have subscribed to their content. I cut the cable over 4 years ago and have not run into the issue you are describing, except for content that is exclusive to a cable subscription. By the way, HBO, STARZ, etc can be subscribed to via Amazon Prime if that is the content you desire. I pay for Netflix, Hulu, TiVo, and Amazon Prime and I am still way less than what the cable providers offer by a long shot.

Do you sell the 1TB of external storage esata for this unit?
You should be able to simply get an external USB drive. a Terabyte drive. I would suggest a drive of 7200 RPM because a 5400 RPM may be too slow for streaming video playback and recoding. Especially, if you are playing back AND recoding at the same time.

have optimum cable what dvr player work best without paying for a subscription.
This depends if you simply want to stream or get live content and record. There are limited options for FREE streaming and for recording live content. If you do not require LIVE content to be recorded that is free because you could simply connect your antenna cable to the TV directly. If you want to record then the Bolt would suffice BUT you must have a TIVO subscription to do so. It is minimal cost 15.00-20.00 per month. However, most other streamed content costs such as HULU, Amazon Prime, Etc. However, youtube and a few others are free.

Can you record using an HDTV antenna and if so do you still have a fee for doing so?

Currently I have a Panasonic DVD recorder which allows me to record over the air football games. After the game is in progress for an hour, I can start watching from the beginning of the game and delete commercials which saves an hour. Can Tivo chase play

I believe you would leave your current provider blank or set it to antenna. This only applies if you want to use the Bolt for your Cable box. I do not recall having to set that value. However, if I remember correctly, it provides a dropdown list of known providers. If TIVO is listed then include that, otherwise I suspect you would leave it blank. I know I set mine for antenna as I am getting live video via a standard antenna. I use that for live broadcast and TIVO for the various app providers. If you are not adding an antenna, I see no real value of the Bolt as you cannot record streamed content. The only value would be the content apps that are included.

Does this device allow you to record streaming content as the heading says? I use Amazon fire stick and no cable service. Will I be able to record shows I watch from my streaming service?
You definitely can record live shows but I have not seen a way to set a recording for streamed content. In reality, I doubt that any device is set to do that as steaming is meant to be on-demand so scheduling seems counter to how steaming content is invoked. I just tested Netflix to see if you could record some content as it is streamed and it does not support this. I have not tried other streaming services but I fully expect that they will not be supported either.
The device does let you do a search across all service content to find shows and allow on-demad streaming of that content if you have the proper subscription.
