This film exceeds its predecessor in every respect. The story is better, the visuals are better, and the acting is better. Best movie of the year. Worth owning on 4KHDR.

I bought this TV after being stuck in quarantine for over a month. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made. The set-up is a little snug in my viewing room, but the BB team had no difficulty getting it down here (basement). The only downside being that we had to move the washer and dryer to the garage. Luckily, BB was able to do that, too. This has actually made things easier, since mom no longer comes down unannounced to do laundry. Also, this TV is amazing. The upscaling on this set is phenomenal and I can only imagine how great an actual 8k sourced vid would look! I’m amazed at how solid the audio is on this set, as well. Most TVs have lousy, downward firing speakers, but this set’s audio sounds incredible! It basically has saved me several hundred dollars in not having to buy a Vizio soundbar. The audio is so impressive—it alone may be a legitimate reason to buy this TV! Samsung does it right. I have a mild photo-sensitivity to bright light (camera flashes), so I just watch this wearing shades. Even with the sunglasses, this TV will blow you away. The image is so bright that it lights my entire place! For once, I’m relieved I have no windows down here; otherwise, the neighbors may have called the police about light pollution. So, I’m addition to saving money on an unnecessary soundbar, I’m saving money on electricity by not having to turn of the lights! I think at some point, when (if) I have a girlfriend, I will bring her over and we will watch Kung foo. The refresh rate on this TV is fast enough to capture Bruce Lee’s movements, which I still can’t track with my eye, but it’s nice to know the TV is no longer the weakest link. Also, the wide color gamut is phenomenal: with HDR content, I see over a billion colors. Imagine having that kind of variety in your box of crayons. All of these features add up to one terrific TV. Now, if I could only stop the incessant fracking in my area. I swear, you can light the water here with a match.

I originally purchased this cable way back when the HDMI standard was at 1.4. That worked great for about a year with my Panasonic 3D TV, but then with 4K, the HDMI standard changed to 2.0. I quickly bought a 4K TV and this new 2.0 cable, as it exceeds speeds of 18 gigs. The Panasonic 3D went upstairs (to mom’s) and I now use the old, outdated 1.4 diamond cable with my 22 inch Vizio to maximize its 1080p (progressive scan). The new diamond 2.0 cable looks and sounds amazing and has completely changed my set-up to a home theater like experience.
I‘m running Polk speakers with an uber-powerful Onkyo receiver. What’s nice about this HDMI cable is the coating on the exterior sheath—no matter how hot my receiver gets, this diamond cable stays cool to the touch. It’s also got internal directional neo-demonite silver quartz plating at 100% for solid silver conduction, which is higher than all others. Just make sure the little directional arrow is pointing at the TV and NOT the receiver. I learned this the hard way when my receiver overheated (had the HDMI direction wrong). Thank God for Monster. They actually reimbursed me when the surge bar caught fire. But that’s another story!
For the 4K TV, I went with the 65 inch A1E oled originally, but then Sony released their A9G master series, so I upgraded to that instead— it gets 100 nits brighter (and has better blacks). The old OLED went upstairs (to mom’s) and it’s still a nice TV that serves her purposes (Fox News). But enough about mom, this new diamond cable is incredible!
I can see things using this cable that I never could on my old Panasonic 3D TV. Everything appears much sharper and there are more colors than the human eye could possibly ever distinguish. It’s like looking out of a window (which I don’t have down here). That’s the other nice thing about using the Best Buy credit card, I don’t have to come up with the money for nearly two years and won’t pay a dime in interest: no having to sell off my Star Wars collection to pay. The best part about this cable is that it delivers the highest possible connection so that no data is lost or corrupted in the process of transfer between the 4K player, TV, and receiver. I’m still using a Rocketfish HDMI cable to connect the 4K player to the receiver (until I have money to buy an additional diamond cable), but once the signal hits my receiver and goes through the diamond cable to the TV, everything just keeps getting better!
I highly recommend this cable to anyone who is remotely interested. It will change your life. You can’t put a price on cool. Now, if they would just stop the nonstop fracking where I live.

 AudioQuest - Vodka 10' 4K Ultra HD HDMI Cable - Black/Blue
AudioQuest - Vodka 10' 4K Ultra HD HDMI Cable - Black/Blue
Connect this AudioQuest Vodka HDMI cable to your home entertainment system, and enjoy high-quality video and audio playback. Solid 10 percent silver conductors reduce jitters and distortion for clear sound, and High Dynamic Range pass-through increases color range and contrast for beautiful on-screen images. With direct silver-plated connectors, this AudioQuest Vodka HDMI cable resists corrosion for long-lasting use.

How does this compare to an average hdmi cable... Considering it costs a whopping $460 retail?

What is so special about it?
A/V is subjective. I can tell you with certainty that the vodka cable delivers a sharper 4K image on my oled than the carbon, but the differences are minor. Comparing the vodka to a cinnamon cable, the differences are far more obvious. I see less fine detail in the image. Things that were sharp using the vodka when viewing from several feet away are less sharp using the cinnamon, which also had several small artifacts. This isn’t the difference between a 70% and a 99% PQ. It’s the difference between an 87% and a 93%. Put another way, if you pay more at the pump for high octane gasoline because you understand that it translates to better acceleration in your vehicle, then the vodka cable is definitely for you. With respect to audio, all I can say is the difference there becomes much larger. It’s like changing to a higher bit rate when listening to compressed music or going from 120 to 140 watts on a receiver: more of the audio track seems present and arrives with greater nuance. I am not b.s.’ing and I am not selling cables. Anyone who claims there is no difference between HDMI cables is ignorant and trying to sound intelligent. The claim that 1’s and 0’s either arrive or don’t arrive simply doesn’t hold water. That’s an oversimplification made by someone who clearly does not understand how signal degradation works. People seem to have no trouble understanding why Apple makes superior products as a result of the materials used and workmanship involved—if a CPU runs cooler and more efficiently, then it lasts longer. People understand when they look at a Sony tv, that it may not be as bright as a Samsung, because Sony is running the led/lcd display at 40% of maximum output, where as the Samsung is running at 90%. One is going to be more prone to have problems than the other. You pay for what you get, folks, and you get what you pay for. Good luck.

Why the heck is this listed for $1,799.98?

It should be .99, I don’t know why they went with the .98–so unorthodox.
