I have used this as a replacement for the hard drive on a laptop and the improvement in performance is tremendous. Very fast (5 sec availability from sleep) on my desktop as well. I use another one as an additional drive on my computer when I want fast access for large video file processing. It really speeds up the application times.

The hardware is excellent. 1) The Windows 11 software would not allow me to install programs that were not in the Microsoft Library. I had to figure out how to change various settings (obscure and many google searches). 2) It was not set up to be seen on the local network. After the usual setting changes it still did not work. Many google searches later and that was solved. (These are not normal things that a user would do). 3) Finally more google searches were needed to enable the computer to see USB drives.
After all that, It worked great. It did all the things that I wanted it to do.

A nice addition to the USB storage drives around the house. I may have reformatted it to NTFS. It will work with either that or FAT32. (FAT32 has a 4 GB limit in size though.)
