Overall the unit does what it is supposed to do. Good picture, uploading, and easy to use. Not a blue ray unit so it does have some picture limitations, but overall it is very good and should be considered.

How do you turn off the subtitles I’m not using an HDMI cable
Turning off the subtitles has nothing to do with the HDMI. After loading the disc go the recorder menu and follow the directions.
