My phone screen says no ac on it. Also only works with speaker button pushed.
The phone comes with an AC adapter with a barrel plug that goes into the "Power" jack on the bottom of the phone. This phone requires AC power to operate the LCD display when the phone is "on hook" (hung up). No batteries. Regarding "Also only works with speaker button pushed," make sure the coiled cord for the handset is firmlly plugged into both the handset and the jack on the side of the phone. When you lift the handset, does the LCD display change? If not, perhaps the hook switch isn't working.
