I've read that ink for jet ink printers has a two year avg shelf life if kept sealed in their original packaging. HP stamps an expiration date on the exterior of their outer packaging. I found this on Google: "Over time, ink dries out and settles inside the cartridge, which can cause your printer to clog." Try printing a test/alignment page, but I suspect you need to change your print cartridge(s).
