Store and protect everything from cherished photos and videos to sensitive work files with the Cruzer Glide USB Flash Drive. The drive comes with SanDisk SecureAccess software, which lets you password-protect and secure files you want to keep private while permitting access to files you want to share. The compact drive features a red slider that glides shut to shield the USB connector. A high-speed USB 2.0 interface delivers fast, reliable performance.

Is this a Fat32?

That is up to you. Windows will prevent formatting it as FAT32 but you can use a 3rd party application like Easeus Partition Master to do it (available free).

what is the sustained write speed?

It is horrible. Frankly this drive is far too slow for it's capacity. Writing 600mb-4.3gb files to capacity took nearly 6 hours at an average speed of around 6MB/s

How many photographs will it hold?

That would depend entirely on the size of the photos. What megapixel, raw or compressed, etc. Typically a lot. If you are thinking a digital photo frame, resize all the pictures to the resolution of the frame and save as JPEG to get the maximum number of them on there.

Does it come with an adapter to fit into my iPhone? If not, what kind do I need to buy? (And how much do they cost?)

Sorry, this first part may seem unconstructive but seriously, ditch Apple. You may have noticed, they are a pain in the but for so many functions that are extremely basic for non Apple products. Android devices mate well with PC products and offer much more bang for the buck. Take the blinders off.

Now, to answer the question. No, not this one or any USB drive that I know of, is going to include any means to connect to your iPhone (refer to point made above). You need a USB to lightning adapter (5-20.00) for communication and some USB data storage, may require a powered USB hub in order to work. You are meant to dump your phone content to a computer (Apple or PC), then store it on devices like this. You can get around that, as mentioned. Start with just the adapter, if that does not work, get a powered USB hub and connect that first to your phone, then any USB storage, to the hub.

I want to get photos off my iPhone 7. I don’t see a plug small enough to go in the phone. Is there one? Can I save 12,000 (16gb) photos on the flash drive?

My USB drive shows "exFAT" in the file system box. It is a new drive with nothing on it as it was reformatted that I believe originally showed a FAT32 files system. I need it to be reset to FAT32. How can I do this?

I would certainly hope you have figured this out by now but for anyone whom has the same question, you can use a free program called Easeus Parition Master (make sure to get the free edition). Windows doesn't allow native formatting of drives larger than 32gb as FAT32, so a third party application is required.
