This is the best scanner I have owned. Hands down. It DOES work with the latest macOS (I am using it with 12.6), but it needs some wrangling that was not explained anywhere in the included docs. So you will need the driver from the web site page to start but that driver alone did not work for me with my existing instal of Epson Scan 2; I had to also install Epson SilverFast 8 (free edition for owners of the V600). Once I installed those, the scanner was detected and away I went scanning my artwork in beautiful 1200dpi resolution.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does the V600 work with Mac OS Monterey?

Yes it does. I had to install SilverFast 8 along with the driver for it to be detected. No issues after that.
