Bought for my family room, it now ties my Apple TV, smart tv, dish network, and sound bar to the network.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good case for the price. The way I hold my phone the charger port opening seems. Bit odd with my pinkie, but that’s a stretch to call a negative. I’d recommend it.

Is a modem or a router used for WiFi? Like I don’t have to get AT&T or suddenlink like do these provide WiFi?

No, this is not WiFi. Basically you plug in a network wire (Ethernet) from your modem, and this device splits (or multiplies it) to have more outputs. For a non tech person, think of it as a power strip for internet.

Can this work without a computer? I just want to be able to use the internet on my Samsung TV.

Yes, I mean given you have internet to the house. Think of this like a 6-way power strip. E-net in, many e-net out.

So can I connect one ethernet cable to this (from the wall), then plug in my PS4 and my AT&T cable box to it, as well? Just want to stop alternating plugging/unplugging the PS4 and the cable box ethernet cables from the wall to use either.

Yep, that’s exactly what this is for. I have a single cat5 ran to family room, this splits it to my sound bar, Apple TV, smart tv, And dish network.

I just bought a Linksys home mesh router. It only has two ports. Will this work? Or do I have to spend $15 more to get the Linksys version of this?

I don’t see why this wouldn’t work.
