The little shelf has been installed just below the TV on the wall in my bedroom. It nicely holds the cable box I have, but would also work for holding a game system box (One, PS4, etc.). Rather nice.

So far this computer has been very good. I use it primarily for home office, but it works fast, with a great graphics card for viewing or editing movies. I'm happy with it to this point.
