The template that it comes with is perfect, quite sturdy unit itself! I’m happy you can adjust the tilt just a little to help with putting in cables, also you can get the perfect level using the two little adjusters on the top!

I have an entertainment center with a backing for mounting a TV on. My old LG could mount on it without any additional hardware. Is this mount just for the wall or could I use it on my entertainment center?
I would recommend going into the studs almost no matter what size tv you have
