I had a Kenwood receiver from the 1970s and a pair of Rectilinear Mini 3 speakers that I lost in a house fire last year. This was the closest I could find in performance to that at a reasoable price. It accepts Bluetooth input and has a remote. I mated it to a pair of Sony bookshelf speakers. The speakers are a bit smaller but they sound great. I can hear the bass just fine and I didn't need to feel the base so no sub woofer. I just wanted an old school stereo. I ran my TV RCA output to the stereo so I can have enhanced sound when I want. If you want fancy surround then get a home theater receiver but I got this out of box for $120 and it had only been removed from the box and then put back in. Everything works and not a scratch was on it. The FM antenna is a bit funky but it works and I don't need space in the back for a bulky ferrite antenna. You can get more features with the China brands but this looks great with my TV and it looks, feels and performs quality. There is phono input and a couple of auxillary inputs. It runs two sets of speakers switchable A, B, or A and B. It has a line out so you could run a powered sub woofer I guess but not sure how the L R channels would merge to do that. I would have liked a mid range tone control but the bass and treble adjusted for my ears.

It has worked perfectlly out of the box. It can handle a variety of surfaces. No complaints other than the logitec software that I found to takeup a lot of space for no added function so I deleted it. I use the standard Windows mouse drivers.

I have four sets of speakers. I want to drive two sets with one receiver and the other two with a second receiver that is stacked on top of the first. Is there an easy way to drive each individual receiver (separately) with bluetooth?

There are manual control knobs and buttons on the front and one says bluetooth so I would say yes but they will both be affected by either remote as they are universal. Just about everything would need to be done manually

I have a awesome adcom GFA-555 amp. Can I use my amp with this receiver and if so, does it just bypass the built in amp?

The raw line out is not controlled. It's the signal that usually goes to a tape deck for recording. If your amp has volume and equalizer controls then you could run the line out to it via the RCA plugs. If it doesn't I think what you are looking for is a preamp.

I have 2 6ohm speakers on an A channel, and I'd like to add a B channel of 2 other speakers, and play in A+ B mode. What ohm rating of new speakers does this receiver want to see?

I would be safe and go with another 6 ohm set.

I have a system that has 8 speakers hooked up using an amplifier. Can this be used the same way? If so, how do you hook the amp up to this system?

The speakers on a given line can't be lower than 4 ohms. There are two right lines and two left lines. You could hook two 8 ohm speakers to each line in parallel and that would be 4 ohms per line. Plus from line one to plus on speaker one and speaker one plus to speaker two plus. Negative from line one to speaker one negative and speaker one negative to speaker two negative. If your speakers are 6 or 4 ohms you will underload the amp and blow the finals If you run in series two per line 4 ohms becomes 8 ohms but they are out of phase and might sound lousy as you just made an eight speaker noise cancelling system

I have couple of KRK monitors hooked up to the line out from the Sony STR-DH190, but for whatever reason I can’t control the volume on the speakers from the volume knob or the remote control. My input is Phono.

The line out is raw signal. No volume modulation from the amp. The line out is what you would usually run to a tape recorder or CD burner. The line out could go to a powered set of speakers but the speakers would have to have volume control on them. This powers only two sets of non amplified speakers. It is basically a 70s style stereo reciever that can also play songs from your phone via Bluetooth and has a remote.

What is a digital input? I have an old pioneer 25-CD player. Can I hook that up to this amp? Does the phono need the black and white connector cables?

No digital input.

Hi I have three wireless Bluetooth speakers that I want to put in three different rooms and play the same thing at the same time. Can I hook the three speakers up to this? If so can it be done by Bluetooth or has to be connected by wires?

Not this unit. The BT is only an input option. It won't even do BT headphones. Keep shopping.

can you use a sony turn table, from the late 70's with this receiver. probably analog ?

It has a dedicated phono input via RCA plugs. This gives an extra preamp to the turntable like in the 70s.

I was wondering would it be possible to connect a set of powered bluetooth speakers and a set of passive speakers to this receiver to use with my turntable?

No. The BT is only for input.

I am purchasing a Sony - 2-Ch. Stereo Receiver with Bluetooth - Black Model:STRDH190 SKU:6187501. I want to connect it via Bluetooth to my Alexa Echo (NOT an Alexa Dot). Also, can I connect more than one device - knowing one 1 will play at one time?

One at a time. Not selectable from a menu of choices. Only BT input. It will not run BT headphones.
