I purchased four of these cables to use with external solid state drives. They have worked very well. I have only observed 10Gbps with my drives, because that is the maximum they will go - I have yet to get an external drive that is rated at 20Gbps. The cables feel solid and well made. They were a good buy.

This gaming laptop gives you a lot for the money. It has a stellar display. The keyboard and touchpad are very good. It has all the RGB you could want. It comes with a fast 1TB NVMe m.2 drive. You could add an external solid state drive. If you get one of the newer ones that use an NVMe, and connect it to the Super Speed usb-c port, you could get speeds as high as 1000MB/s for both read and write.

Can the USB C port be used to connect to a second monitor and power that monitor?
You can not run a monitor from the usb c port of this laptop. You can run a single monitor from the HDMI port of this laptop.

I do not see where the privacy feature for the camera is. Is it a button that needs to be pressed? Because I see nothing that covers the camera.
The version of this laptop I got from Best Buy does not have the sliding switch to put a physical screen in front of the camera. I believe this is the case for this version of the laptop for Best Buy. You can disable the camera in Settings, if you wish.

The one I purchased does not have a backlit keyboard. I think this version of the laptop made for Best Buy does not come with a backlit keyboard.
