I have had this radio for about 5.5 years now, and I have
found it to be solid and reliable. I live in a region that has
a number of tornado alerts each year, as well as other
weather related alerts. This radio does a very good job
of providing warnings, and monitoring the situations as
they are in progress. I am impressed by how long the
battery holds its charge (when not in use). I top it up
about every 6 months. This is a very good choice as
an emergency weather alert radio.

This is a good and compact emergency radio. It has
a large rechargeable battery (2600 mAh). It picks up
all the NOAA weather stations in your area. It can
monitor those stations and issue a loud alert when
these stations warn of approaching dangerous weather.
It can also receive AM and FM radio stations in your area.
The battery can be charged 3 ways: via USB, via a
hand crank, or via a small solar panel. It is a good value.

I would say it is ok to put your receiver on top of the cd player, but would recommend against putting the receiver under it. Receivers can generate a fair amount of heat, and you generally want to have good airflow on the top and sides of the receiver.

I use PHOTOfunSTUDIO to download to my Windows 10 computer, organize, and edit my photos. The software application
is free and instructions for its download are in the instruction booklet that comes with the camera. It works very well.
