I clone the system disk of one of my computers to this drive to use as a backup. I can do this relatively easily and quickly, and repeat the process every two months. This provides a quick means of recovery in the event of a catastrophic crash of the system. I got this drive on sale at a good price.

I got this drive at a great price on sale. I put into an external housing with a fast USB interface. With it I get speeds of typically 400 MB/s, which are close to the maximum of 500 MB/s for this drive connected directly to the SATA inside a pc. I use it to do backups of the drives inside my tower. It is an economical means of performing this function.

Conveniently charges 4 AA or AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries at the same time. 3-5 hour charge time with auto shut off to prevent overcharging and battery damage. Manufactured in China. The charger is equipped with audio and visual alerts. A red light means that charging has started, and you will hear an audible beep when charging begins. A yellow light appears when charging is 50 percent complete and charging is continuing. A green light means charging is complete, and the batteries are 100 percent full. You will hear an audible beep upon completion. If a bad battery is detected, a red X will illuminate, and the charger generates a repetitive audible beep upon detection. Can you record on cassette tapes when playing from Bluetooth.
Yes you can. You can stream in from a bluetooth connected device, such as a smart phone or a tablet, and record to a cassette in the boombox (or a usb stick, or a micro sd card in the boombox). As noted in a previous answer, you need to adjust the volume of the external device to get a good recording.

will the bluetooth allow you to use auxiliary / external bluetooth speakers?
No. Bluetooth on this device is only for input. You can however use the Headphone port on the boombox to wire it to an external speaker. Please note that the AUX port on this boombox is only for input.

The bluetooth mode on this device allows you to stream IN only. You can not use it to stream OUT to bluetooth headphones or bluetooth speakers. However, you can use the headphone out jack on the device to connect to wired headphones or wired speakers.

what format is the cassette-to-digital recording—mp3, wav, or what? 128kbps? 192kbps?
I have made many recordings of cassette to USB. All are MP3 with a bitrate of 128kbps.

When this hits the end of the tape (play or ff/rw), does it continue to put tension on the tape or do the motors stop?
When in Play mode, the motors do automatically stop at the end of the tape. However, when in FF or RW modes the motors do NOT stop - and will continue to put tension on the tape.

Does this cassette player take mini cassettes?
No. It only accepts standard cassettes.

Does this boombox have any audio output options? Like, could I connect it to a home speaker set up and use it as a just a cassette player?
It has a headphone out that works well for connecting to other audio devices, such as speakers. It also has an Aux In connection that allows you to input to it signals from other audio devices.
