I included this HDD in my first pc build. I use it to store my photo and video archives. It is a fast drive, and lives up to its specs. I have found it to be very reliable. I was able to get it at a very good price. I am so impressed by it that I bought a second one, that I have put into an external drive housing. I use that as a backup drive. If you want a fast HDD, you can't do better than this one!

This laptop is great for amateur photographers and artists. Its 2-in-1 design and touch-screen make it ideally suited for editing photos and creating artwork, especially when paired with the proper HP touch pen. The display is high resolution and of excellent quality. It has the 16:10 aspect ratio preferred for photo editing and artwork. It has an ample number of powerful ports. The back-lighted keyboard is very good, and the keys are very responsive with a larger size making errors in keystrokes less likely.
The sound is good, although the grills to either side of the keyboard are not for the speakers - they are for ventilation. The speakers are actually on the front edge of the laptop. The SSD in this laptop is actually amazing in its speed - typically ~6000MB/s! I was lucky enough to get this when it was marked down substantially, and consider it to be one of my best purchases this year!

This drive is very thin and light, perfect for traveling in a small laptop bag. It is fast. I get 1000MB/s with it connected to a fast USB C 3.2 port on either my laptop or my desktop. I use it to transfer files between my desktop and my laptop - mostly photos and videos. I also use it to do backups of my laptop. I like it so much that I bought a second one. I got them at a great sale price!

Good software with possible installation issues

This is a good software package with many useful apps included. But you may encounter installation issues, as I did. If either of the two serial numbers (keys) are flagged as invalid, you have to go to the nearest Best Buy physical store to have your purchase cancelled, and get a new digital product. The problem can not be fixed via chat or phone. Also, Corel will not provide you with a solution. I spent a week before I was told what I had to do.
Also, the installation of the many apps can be intimidating to one not experienced with folders and file structures. The installation sets up a sub-sub directory that contains a number of folders. Inside most of them is an executable file used to install a particular program in the package. The purchaser has to go to each in turn to do the complete installation. Be sure to install the PaintShop Pro program first - it is the main one, and needs a valid serial number to proceed.
Despite my problems installing the package I would recommend purchase of this package, particularly if you can get it on sale. I find it to be a very useful set of tools.

The first thing I noticed was is how amazingly compact and solid this external SSD drive is. I use it for keeping backups of my laptop - I have two of these drives and alternate between them. The drive is very fast - typically 1000MB/s on my fast USB 3.2 connection. The drive is very thin, and takes up very little space in the outer pocket of my laptop bag. It is excellent value.

I purchased this bag for my new HP Omnibook X Flip 2-in-1 16" laptop. The laptop is a perfect fit, and is well protected inside the bag. This drive has a power brick, which must be plugged in and connected to the drive for it to operate. The drive does not have a battery. The drive will not operate without its power supply.

How big is the power supply in this unit? Can I add a Nvidia 1050 GPU without upgrading the Factory power supply?
The unit has an internal 180 Watt power supply. I believe you would have to replace it with a higher power supply to run such a card. I did a little research on upgrading the power supply for this machine. It is not so easy. I would recommend sticking with the built in graphics. The machine was not designed for higher end gaming.

You will have to do it after the purchase, and the system has been set up. It is very easy to do via the Windows Store (for which you must have an account). It will cost about $100.

does the motherboard come with an extra cable it I want to install another SATA compatible Drive or does it have to be purchased separately?
I opened up my computer to look at the cable situation, because I want to add an additional hard drive to the system. I found that the power cable to the DVD drive has a connector on it that will allow you to supply power to such a drive. I also saw that there is an open socket for one data sata cable to connect to this drive, but there is no cable provided to do this. You will have to buy the cable yourself (less than $10). Finally there is a single open bay available, and it will hold a 3.5" drive, and it is just below the dvd drive. So adding one additional SATA drive appears doable, and relatively straight forward.

Why is there no slot for a GPU? In the specifications for this product, in the expansion section, it states there is 1 PCI-E X1 slot, and a PCI-E x16 slot. What is in these slots, if I can't put a GPU in there? Is the description wrong?
I opened up my Lenovo, and see that both of these slots are open and available. However, be aware that the power supply for this machine is modest, and supplies a maximum of only 180 Watts. You need to carefully tally up the power already being used, and see if there is enough for the video card of your choice. Even a low end video card is going to use over 30 W. I think you are best advised to stick with the built in graphics.
