I clone the system disk of one of my computers to this drive to use as a backup. I can do this relatively easily and quickly, and repeat the process every two months. I got this drive at a great price on sale. I put into an external housing with a fast USB interface. With it I get speeds of typically 400 MB/s, which are close to the maximum of 500 MB/s for this drive connected directly to the SATA inside a pc. I use it to do backups of the drives inside my tower. It is an economical means of performing this function.
