With it I get speeds of typically 400 MB/s, which are close to the maximum of 500 MB/s for this drive connected directly to the SATA inside a pc. I use it to do backups of the drives inside my tower. This tiny external USB drive is a very good way to add additional storage to a laptop without having to clone and install a drive into the laptop. It protrudes only a small amount from the side of the laptop, allowing it to remained plugged in while inserted into a sleeve or carrying bag. The speed of the drive is as advertised, which is suitable for smaller files (such as photos). It is an excellent buy when on sale.

Is this lamp cordless? Looking for one to use where it operates on some sort of battery as I don't have outlets nearby.
The lamp is not cordless. It has a proprietary cable that that goes to a transformer that has to be plugged into a standard wall outlet.

Is this lamp pretty stable? Or does it fall over easily? The base looks pretty small in the photos.
The lamp is very stable. The base is 5" X 7". In addition it has heft (must have weights in it). I have bumped it on occasion, and it remains upright and stable.

Is it fireproof so what it contains can be stored in the overhead compartment on planes safely?
This sleeve is not fireproof. Also, I would advise not putting
it with your laptop in the overhead compartment. The risk
of damage there is too great. Put it where you have more
control - on the floor in front of you, or the seat pocket in
front of you.
