For years I believed that I had no use for a subwoofer,

this Sony subwoofer when it was on sale, to try it out.
It turned out to be true - and brought out things I had not
heard before in the music! It made the listening

the lamp is white or black? and the light is daylight or warm white?
The upper part of the lamp is black. The lower part of the base is also black. The upper surface is off white in color. The color of the light emitted a cool white. It provides accurate rendition of the color of what it illuminates.

The lamp is not cordless. It has a proprietary cable that that goes to a transformer that has to be plugged into a standard wall outlet.

The lamp is very stable. The base is 5" X 7". In addition it has heft (must have weights in it). I have bumped it on occasion, and it remains upright and stable.
