The one I purchased does not have a backlit keyboard. I think this version of the laptop made for Best Buy does not come with a backlit keyboard.

The only difference between them is the color scheme. If you prefer the color scheme of the KX-TGD863, I believe you have no choice but to accept it with 3 handsets. Having a spare could be a good thing.

It sounds like you either put the cap on too tight, or cross threaded it when you put it on. I think you will have to use brute force turning the cap counterclockwise. After filling the tank, take care putting the cap back on - making certain
it threads properly when you tighten it clockwise, but not too tight.
