Unit was easy to connect an the Cameras was also easy to mount. The only issue is the menu system is a bit confusing at first, once you went through each menu it was not that hard to get going the way I liked it to work!

I can place my records on it as such as business inventory, sales, all aspect's of my business on it an take it home with me for safe keeping an also use it at home as just I never left the office. This way I have all my Data stored in 3 locations at once an can replace either computer, an have my records restored in just minutes!!!!

Not working still and tried 3 computers and this new computer I bought this month. How can I get this fixed using the 3 year warranty it came with?

1. My BT162342 battery in my VTEC 6.0 registers 2.8 V when I check it on my multi meter, but when I reinstall it into my phone, it says low batt. Why? Shouldn’t the batt. level indicator bars on the screen stop scrolling when the batt. fully charged..?
Measuring the voltage of a battery while not under a load will show it potential, but when you connect it up it can drop to a much lower voltage when the battery is going bad. measure the voltage while it is still connected. This will give you a better idea if it is working or not. Batteries do fail at times an they no longer can hold a charge. A Meter does not put a load on it, so it will seam fine. Then you install it an it goes dead right away.

What about simplicity from the more tech stupid people? Will itbe necessary to have a professional installer set it up or can the “older” folks handle the job?
Take your time do not be in a hurry an you can get through it. I would recommend to often save the settings so if you make a mistake you will not lose much of your settings. It does follow a simple logic of setting things up. Also the 24/7 Tech support is great at giving you a click by click help if you have any issue's! They can also assist you in making corrections once your hooked up to the internet.

Is the system able to be used outside of the US? I am looking to use it in a country where it would need to be run off generator most of the time as the electricity is not 24/7.
Actually it runs the unit an each Camera off of 12VDC. If you have a means to charge a 12VDC Battery like a car battery then you can cut off the transformer of the power cords an then connect it to the battery. Just make sure you observe the polarity of each wire. for you must make sure you do not swap +/- leads. The total current draw is less than 5 amps this will run off of a car battery for more than a day. Then just hook up a battery charger to charge the battery when you have power.

I have an older SwannView system with some 5Mpixel cameras. Can I use those cameras instead of the ones provided or are they not compatible?
The Older cameras will work, but the quality of picture is limited to the Camera. If the Old Cameras use a BNC connector an the same style of power plug, then just unplug the old an plug in the new Cameras. Do replace the power supply for the new cameras will need more power an the old power supply may not handle it.
