Yes absolutely we use ours as a doggie cam that monitors the room that he stays in. it notifies us on our phone when he gets to moving around - it’s also facing the doorway so we can see if someone comes to the door it would work the same way for cognitively in haired elderly person there’s nothing in the room that’s notifying them that you are monitoring them but you also have the capability to actually turn your microphone on and speak into that room and they can hear you through the monitor so when our dog gets restless and starts doing things he shouldn’t be doing we can actually watch him and speak to him.
