Here I am, sitting with a 1968 Pioneer turntable and a dead Sony receiver that likes to shut off all the time. What to do? I researched a lot of bookshelf speakers that not only were powered by able to take a vintage turntable. Havin an excellent Klipsch 2.1 system meant for computers or even small living room media, I saw the Klipsch Model: R-41PM on sale. It was powerd, just what I need. I took a pair home and hooked it up directly to my turntable. After setting up, I put on a record and got music.
(note: Not having a functional amp or receiver, I bought a preamp for my turntable. I realized that when I got my receiver, it had no inputs for my vintage turntable like the excellent receivers fo the 70s and 80. The preamp was a godsend. When I got my Klipsch speakers, the preamp provided the signal boost needed to play music)
It was when I directly connected the turntable to the speakers, I noticed the sound was OK and beat my head on why the bass and treble was not very good.
What is needed when moving to a more theatrical experience is a good preamp to put between the turntable and these speakers. Many people get a preamp despite having an expensive receiver or amp. A standalone preamp is just better.
Once I hooked the preamp between the turntable and speakers, I got beautiful sound. The speakers and music came alive.
Short, get a preamp to experience fully the music on any speakers. These speakers have a good enough preamp, it is not going to give you the experience you expect.
Doing lots of research, even the more expensive receivers can't do for a turntable as a good preamp. They are relatively inexpensive, ranging from good to excellent. The cost is maybe $50 or up to $200, or even higher, but they make all the difference in the world.
From my short experience with these Klipsch speakers I can say that are very versatile. They are great in the living room with the added ability to move around the house. They are very portable. They produce excellent sound. Only way to make them better is to get a subwoofer for those room shattering lows we experience in many explosive motion pictures.
I can recommend these speakers heartily. But remember to do a lot of research to fully experience the best of any HIFI product.

This zoom has been a bug in my pocket for some time, and I finally bit and got this fantastic lens.
I love zooms, so versatile.
What's the first thing people do with a zoom of this caliber? Take a moon shot, of course. I also took photos of various objects, including birds just to be sure this is a sharp lens and it is.
One big reason for this lens is that it has internal zoom. I don't like those heavy zoom lens that grow in length when zoom. All that wear and tear of those moving parts moving a tube with heavy glass in it. This guy skips all that. Zoom is quite and very smooth.
This lens is heavy, as one would expect. Considering what it does it is very acceptable.
It has a lot of features I need to look into further. What I do like is that big ring on the lens is the zooming ring. It is in an excellent place, right where you would hold the lens when shooting. The smaller ring is for manual focusing.
Now, is it sharp? Yes, very sharp. The pictures I took of detailed objects show extremely good sharpness for a zoom lens. I took photos ranging from the moon, birds eating my persimmons, tree trunk and leaves. All very good and even handheld, the lens performed greatly. The images stabilization built in the lens did a great job when handhold camera and lens when shooting.
While this lens is a 200-600mm lens for a full frame Sony camera, it becomes a 300-900mm lens when hooked up to a Sony a6000 series of crop sensor cameras. That can come in handy for those needing to reach way out there for a photo.
I am exceedingly happy with this lens. It fits in nicely with my 70-200 f4.0 and 18-105 f4.0 zoom lens. All with internal zooming.
I would say the price may be high for some, but it is worth it as it works perfectly with Sony cameras. Zooming is fantastic and focusing is fast and spot on.

Get a little closer to your subject with this Sony 70-300mm lens. I got this lens because I wanted something superior to the kt 55-210 mm zoom lens. It was OK, but I wanted a lens that produces excellent photos and this one does.
What's going for it? On a crop sensor camera like my A6500, the 70-300 mm lens becomes a 105-450 mm lens.
It has OSS, optical steady shot technology, which will help with a little shaky hand, this is a heavy lens. It works well as I do a lot of shooting without support.
As you can see in the picture of the lens, it has a few features like switching from auto focus to manual focus, turning on or off steady shot and limiting the focus range.
As for the sharpness, you will not be disappointed. It is very, very sharp.
In the photo below, I shot this little guy munching on what is left of my watermelon. The colors are rich and saturated and the image of the beetle is very sharp. Using my A6500, I was zoomed in at 300 mm and near minimum focus, and you can see the detail and colors, just beautiful. Due to the size of the original photo, I had to do a little cropping.
Overall I can't complain about this lens. I knew it was heavy, but I've had heavier in the past. It appears well made and feels very solid. The feel of the zoom ring is smooth and not loose.
I can recommend this for the price. And I do recommend purchasing full frame lens for the Sony crop sensor cameras because one day you may want a full frame Sony body like the A7 full frame models. Sony made the wise decision to keep the mount identical so full frame lens work flawlessly on crop sensor bodies. We just benefit using the best part of the lens on the crop sensor .

I bought this when on sale at BB. I wanted it mainly for scanning photos, especially 120 film. It also does the regular 35mm film, slides, B&W and color negatives. It includes good software for scanning. It works well and the scanned photos look great. It is a good scanner for folks wanting to convert their slides and negatives to digital format. I highly recommend it because it is well made and does a great job scanning.

How do know a good movie? Watch it a second time and see if it has the same punch. This one does. It is a mix of live action with real sets. The animation of Alita will have you convinced she is real and that is a testament of the actor Rosa Salazar and the animators. By now you should know the plot, Alita's discarded body was found and put into a cyborg body initially made for his daughter, Alita, who couldn't walk. Unfortunately she was killed, the doc saved the mechanical body, eventually giving it to the girl he found in the trash. Now, buy the movie and marvel at what follows. It's one of those movies you will watch over and over again just because it is that good.

Just by the size of this lens, you would think it is heavy. Nope. It is light and handles perfectly with the Sony a6000 and a6500. Overall, this is a very sharp lens, producing beautiful photographs. The zoom function is smooth, no friction whatsoever. That is because as the lens zooms, it does not change length. With a focal length from 18 to 105, this lens will cover about any situation. It is also great for making movies as the constant f/4 maximum aperture offers consistent performance throughout the zoom range. The photo of the crows shows great detail, especially the one with fuzz in its beak.

These are watch batteries. Needed to get my wife's old watch working again. As long as it provides power to the watch, I'm happy. After all, these are just tiny batteries.

I have absolutely NO complaints about this mouse. For those with larger hands, be aware that it is on the narrow side. As a user of Razer mice in addition to this one, the Razer is wider and little easier to handle. I got this mouse to match my HyperX keyboard, also RGB. Both are gorgeous with the flowing colors. As for accuracy, this is spot on. Switches and wheel are of high quality and have a great feel. Overall a great product, particularly for the person with a small hand.

Does this camera have good in body stablization qhen shooting videos?
The IBIS helps, but you may want to get a gimble to help steady the camera when doing videos. Your bouncing around while walking and running cannot be fully compensated for with the IBIS. IBIS really helps when taking still shots where you can lower the shutter speed and still get crisp photos.
