You do not need the Samsung drives for great performance. Boot times and application load times are fantastic. I use these PNY drives as frequently as possible. I have some that see daily use over the past 3-4 years. No problems.

While this certainly is a budget gaming laptop at under $1000, the specs and performance are much better than suggested. Although, the Ryzen 7 CPU is not desktop caliber. It still has plenty of punch for nearly every task or game. It also has dual graphics. An igp for basic tasks and the dedicated GTX 1660 Ti for heavy demands.
It is also very thin and extremely portable. Great for on-the-go. Much like other gaming laptops, performance is best when the charger is plugged in. It runs at slower clock speeds on battery for better battery life. But the power settings can be changed to suit your needs.
Asus is a well respected brand. Especially for gaming. I would highly recommend this laptop. I am an IT professional with nearly 15 years experience.

Sony definitely has the best picture quality on the market. I like that it has Android on it as well. Other brands use a proprietary operating system for the smart features. I have been amazed by the color vibrancy, clarity and detail.
