I have a pair of wireless rear speakers but they need to be plugged into an electrical outlet. can these stands allow me to hide the electrical plug and cord INSIDE the stand or would I have to wrap the cord around the outside of the stand itself?

You can hid the speaker wire only. The shaft of the stand is only wide enough for speaker wire.
