Video errors with 512 gb SD cards

Recording in 4K mode, this camera will error after recording more than 9 min using a 512 GB SD card (or higher I'm assuming).
"ERROR OCCURRED, PLEASE TURN UNIT OFF, THEN TURN ON AGAIN". Upon restart "Repairing Data...Finished", then recorded file broken "CANNOT PLAY THIS SCENE ON THIS MODEL".
Tried using both a formatted legit SanDisk Extreme Pro 512 GB and SanDisk Extreme 512 GB with same issue. No issues experienced with a SanDisk Extreme Plus 128 GB card, other than running out of memory mid video. Very disappointing that a 4K camcorder putting out 4-10 GB per video, doesn't support higher storge cards.
Now I have to spend $60 on video recovery software to salvage my video.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm a slim muscular build 5'7", 220 lbs, 11 size shoe.
That being said, I still fit into these boots adequately. My only complaint is that the joint area around the ankle/top of the foot is a little snug and digs into my foot when it inflates. Its just a little annoying, but I've countered by putting some padding in there and it works out. The thigh area is velcro and adequate for my thigh circumference of 23". If your thigh is significantly larger, it prob won't fit as well.
Aside from those small gripes the product performs well.

I'd recommend these to friends maybe 6' and under and with similar thigh size.

Cute little portable HD case. Fits 1 HD and has a little elastic banded section to include the usb cable and serves to partition it so it doesn't rub the HD while in the case. The case itself is a "soft-hard-shell" that should protect the HD from small drops, but is compressible if you really squeeze it.
Ultimately its a cool "WD" branded novelty to transport your port. HD without it rolling around in your bag and prevents it from getting scratched up.

Been using WD portable HD's for some years now. None have failed. Very reliable in my experience. The current models are plug and play. They don't even require file the format mapping the older ones used to need to accommodate larger files. WD is my go to for HD's.
