How many channels do I get?
Can't know for sure. You just need to hook it up and have your TV scan for channels. Placement will have a lot to do with how many you get.

How will I keep my Dish hooked up if the coaxial has to plug into the port my Dish is in? I need to pick up local channels like Fox that Dish has no longer a contract with.

Can the plate antenna be glued/attached directly to the back of the TV?
I wouldn't do that. 1st, even the latest LED TVs produce some amount of heat and this antenna might trap that heat and fry the electronics 2nd this location would, most likely, have bad reception due to the electronics inside the TV.
