I've been using this item for years and is so handy to keep track of my iPhone without a pocket, etc being encumbered. Unfortunately, the belt clip snapped off the hinge. All I needed was a replacement clip. But, due to whatever, Otterbox was unable to fulfil their guarantee of replacement. Thankfully I was able to track it down and find it at BB.

I'm sure it works exactly as intended, but when I got it home I realized it wasn't a charging adapter for the older style iphone connectors (yes that old), but a card reader that I have no need for. I'll have to return and exchange it.

Performs it's function admirably. Needed to connect an older but still in the box monitor to my laptop and surprise - no hdmi or disply ports on it - only vga. This was the ticket. Hooked it up and it works fine.

I needed a USB 2.0 ethernet adapter, not a 3.0, which I bought, but it wouldn't work on the older laptop whose adapter had died. Took a bit to choose the drivers online - there were several choices when the installer searched online. Works fine though.

Can't say anything bad about it - I knew all the limitations it had before getting it.
The only thing I would change in hindsight is the keyboard and it's lighting. I'm sure I'll get used to the keyboard, but using it in the dark is very annoying for me unless I'm sitting looking down on it, since from an angle, back lighting is distracting.
Other wise, so far, a good purchase.

I thought Oh, 3.0 will be better! Only my old laptop that I'm trying to keep alive doesn't have any 3.0 usb ports. The driver wouldn't install. Had to downgrade with another 2.0 adapter, Once I found the driver, it worked fine.

Will this connect Ethernet able to a microsoft surface pro 7 usb-c?
At this point, my answer is NO. The product box/instructions states for W10. It states for W10 the OS should be able to find a driver automatically. There is a cd included with intstall software and I used that before connecting the hardware. The setup program has an option for W7 and other OSs. It appeared to install correctly but could not connect the hardware effectively.
I haven't been able to take the time to contact Insignia to see what my options are.
