This is a perfect solution for mounting a phone for GPS or other uses, without having to fiddle with mounting clips. Magnet is super powerful. I used it with a Galaxy Note 8 with battery pack case which adds significant weight with no problem.
This is my second unit, be careful when switching between cars or switching positions of mount as adhesive loses strength when dirty. Not a product fault however.

Bought to replace my factory backup camera after replacing head unit. Instructions are a little difficult to understand but eventually got it down. Camera works great, only downside is the size of the camera and how much it sticks out over the license plate, but that's more of a personal taste.
