Sadly this comes with a cost. I love the best buy protection and the 2 year agreement. I wouldn't shop at Best buy without it. However; this 2 year protection is really annoying.
When you buy a product it kicks off the additional years that you want. I bought a washer/dryer and wanted 5 years of protection. Having the total tech prevents me from getting that 5 years of protection. It automatically kicks it off every time. So I end up ordering it online or in the store. Then I get home and a week or 2 later I'm checking receipts and the protection is removed.

So then I have to contact customer support every time and have them add in the 5 year protection or 3 year protection onto the device.
You see the protection is find if you buy it up front. However; if you get the 2 year here, then after that if you desire to extend it; it's 8 dollars a month. It being 8 dollars a month you pay more for the warrently than you would have if you just got the 5 year subscription.
Therefore; this program is getting a 1 star from me because it feels like I'm dealing with a rent to own company who's wants to steal my money at 8 dollars a month.
It would be nice if they allowed you to get the warranty that you wanted when you bought the item. I do want the 2 year automatically on many items. However; on large purchases I do not feel that 2 years is enough; so I have to go through hoops to make it longer at the start.
