The water and ice dispensers are at an odd angle. You have to learn how to hold a cup at a specific angle to keep ice from bouncing everywhere. There also isn't a drip tray so, especially with kids, I had to get a mat to put in front of the fridge so there weren't dangerous falls happening in our kitchen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this because it was one of the last remaining chrome books for a reasonable price with a shipping date before the end of pandemic panic schooling.
I do not understand this machine. Whoever designed it had a completely different idea about the purpose of Chromebooks than I do. It's as big and heavier than my regular laptop. It works fine if you can't afford anything more but in normal times I would get a lighter machine or a fully-functioning laptop.
