I first had the Streambar, then exchanged it for the Streambar Pro. The Pro includes the media player so you are using only one HDMI port for both media player and soundbar. My Streambar sits right in front of my TV's "eye", so my TV remote does not turn on and off the TV. However, using the Roku remote will turn the TV on and off. Found that out by accident. It has a hearing clarity function that I use but doesn't seen to help as much as I thought it would. I do not like any loud base sounds.
