Have multiple boxes of photographs I need to scan. This is second scanner I bought. Sent first one back, different brand, because of very poor file quality.
Very impressed with this performance. Can put multiple pictures on the bed and it is able to determine each different one and produce individual files.
Like the ability to set a name prefix and this simply adds a number to the end.
Scan quality is very good when using good photos. Have some old photos that are poor quality and scanned file seems to be a bit poorer than the original for those.
Have not used the software that comes with the scanner to adjust file quality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can you label or describe photo scanned with v600 when you save it, E.G. Joe Wedding 2014.

Yes
You can set a prefix name for the photos to be scanned then the software adds a numerical 3-digit number to the name.
You can also set the number to start with in case you want to add additional photos to a batch previously scanned.

Will this scan multiple photos at once?

Yes depending on size.
For 4 x 6 photos I can fit 3 on the bed.
For 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 I can fit 3 horizontal and 2 vertical.
Software is able to distinguish the different photos, as long as there is a small space between them, and scans each to an individual file.

After I scan my pictures can I download them to a DVD? Thank you.

all scanned files go to your computer. If you're able to download files from your computer to a DVD you can do the same with the scanned images.

Can scanned photos be captioned with this Epson V600?

You can set a file prefix name for each scan. The software then adds a suffix number.
IE: Christmas at home 92 - 001, 002, etc.
