This pencil is not cheap in price but it does work like magic on the iPads. Very lightweight and easy to pair and charge up.
There's some good apps out there that let you write up some notes or do some digital sketching on your iPad.

Do these speakers have red and white inputs on the back to connect to a record player?
no they don't have the RCA L and R type plugs. It just has a 3.5mm male cable connector. Although you can buy adapters that will mate the 3.5mm to RCA jacks.

as long as you have a 3.5mm headphone or audio out jack, should work.
