I have been using the Logitech trackman in its various versions since they first came out. It is the only pointing device I’ll buy. It doesn’t require you to physically move its location (like you do a mouse) when using it and therefore it requires less space and no mousepad. you move the curser by moving the ball with your thumb. It is ergonomically designed and is more comfortable to use than any other pointing device I’ve seen. The only downside I can possibly see about this device would be if you are left-handed since there isn’t a left-hand version.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have to hard wire 2 computers in my office. Will I need 2 ethernet cords
In order to connect two computers together using a switch you will need two cables, one to each of the computers from the switch. To add additional computers you will need additional cables. If you will only need to connect the two computers you could forgo the switch and just use a single crossover cable between the two computers.

Can you use this mouse on a old computer that has wordperfect instead of word?
It isn’t the program that would be the question, it’s the operating system. If you are using “an old computer that has WordPerfect instead of Word”, you are probably using an older OS. The drivers allow the Trackman to talk to your OS. Your OS then talks to the program. If Logitech has a driver for the Trackman that will work with your OS, it will work with the WordPerfect running on that computer. Check the Logitech website to verify if they have a driver for the Trackman that will work with your OS.
