I needed a regular phone to go with my Spectrum landline phone service. I found this phone and it is just what I needed. Easy to use, I haven't even looked at the instructions.

If your cable modem has a RJ-11 port for regular land line service you will be able to use this phone.

Can you mount this phone to the wall

Yes! You can hang this phone on two screws. It looks like it will fit on an old school phone wall mount.
