Do not, I repeat do not buy this microwave. It is absolutely awful. If you needed to microwave anything for 3+ minutes it would just turn off right before sounding like it was going to blow up. The last time it just turned off, it stopped heating entirely. I have not even had it 3 months and it is a brick. I contacted GE for a service, they canceled my appointment and left a voicemail saying they have determined this product isn't worth service appointments.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
