Keep the power you need at hand with the convenience of Energizer Recharge Value Charger. This handy device charges 2 or 4 AA or AAA NiMH batteries in 5 hours.* And it’s easy to use: Load up the device, plug into the wall, and get fully loaded battery power when you need it. The charger’s indicator screen glows green when you have a full charge. Should you insert a bad or primary battery, the screen pulses to notify you. Perfect for those most used devices like remotes, computer mouses, and even gaming controllers… So maximize battery performance with the charging power of Energizer, the world’s #1 recharge brand (according to market survey data). Specs at a Glance: • 2 or 4 AA or AAA NiMH batteries • Comes with four (4) 1300 mAh 1.2V AA Energizer Recharge Batteries • Large LED Charge Status Indicator Screen (red glow = charging, green glow = complete) • Bad & Primary Battery Detection (screen flashes when detected) • Reverse Polarity Protection • Delta V Charging Cut-off • Safety Timer to prevent overcharge • Limited Lifetime Warranty (see manual for details) * Times may vary by NiMH battery.

This charger gets the job done but it isn't as advanced as others on the market. However the price is right and it comes with 4 AAs. The included batteries have a decent capacity but there are better ones out there. The problem with this charger is that it operates on a timer as opposed to a smart charger. This will get the job done if you're just charging batteries for kids toys and controllers but if you're serious about rechargeables you might want to step up to the next level.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can lithium batteries be charged in this charger And whats the difference between the two types.

No. You can only charge NiMh and NiCd batteries. Lithium Ion cells have a different chemisty. There are chargers out there that can charge all three but this isn't one of them.
