I wait a bit to review this as I wanted to be able to test all aspects of it. The design is simple and it is a plug and go detector. I had a few X band hits due to some older auto doors. K band has a pretty good range and not a lot of false hits because of car sensors. The Ka band is great. It detects much better than the last one I had with a much longer range

I would love to give this a 5, but I can't. I have bought two of these. The one in my wifes car is dependable and works great providing me with great clarity, however, the one I got for my car keeps resetting the date, to 1/1/21 along with the time. I have followed all the suggestions on their FB page with no results. I even voided the warranty and took it apart to swap out a possible bad battery. That was in vain as it has a super capacitor and not a battery. My only option is to direct wire it to the car battery, which is something I prefer not to do. So it sits on my desk doing nothing for now. BTW, the camera does not work at -10º :)

I purchased this with the plan of using an extra HDD from an older computer to put all my pictures, music and videos on. The transfer rate was not too bad and I am using the extra USB for my back up drive, and again, transfer rate was good. I was concerned because to box had been damaged and taped up, but the docking station was well protected and undamaged
