Subsequent to this I got some cableless adapters but their problem is that they place more strain on the USB C plug in the computer: using this adapter allows a more natural unstrained plug in.
It may be a bit more cost wise but if you have Apple you know you have quality!

We previously had a less pricey machine and I never knew what the temperature was really! Now the digital temperature and timing is easily set and both will adjust during cooking if needed. There are many auto presets for each cooking scenario in case a cooking temperature /time is not known. The oven light is great to check right at the back inside the oven that everything is doing well and it switches itself off automatically. A really neat feature is the centre rack is pulled out by being magnetically held onto the door so a quick visual check need not involve an oven mit! The veggy/whatever air fry rack is a must use - you do not want your veggies cooked any other way! Delish and so calorie friendly! French fries you do not want any other!
It also has a stainless steel crumb catcher and it is easily cleaned - if need be soak and wipe off.
When baking I initially had some cakes rising in the centre. To correct this, my recommendation is to knock off 10 to 20 degrees C (50 to 65 degrees F) off of the recommended baking temperature and if need be extend the cooking time a bit to bake all the way through.
This all stainless steel quick heat oven is so neat to use you will not want to cook any other way!

Plug and play: via USB. I prefer a large external storage drive as it is usually quicker than a smaller disc drive. And not being a SSD if perchance it crashes then the data is recoverable. Backup is easy - I just copy my entire data file set with a date as filename, once a week and delete the oldest set when the disc starts to fill up. The backup program included wants to do a cloud link and not to the Ext HD so the offer of backup program is misleading. I have a 4 core i7 CPU desktop and it took about 3 hours hours to back up as a direct copy of about 500GB of data (Old USB standard)

Looks smart but difficult to install- I don't even know if it is fully installed as it is - I think- two different programs - I eventually got a lic number for both but so far have only entered one of them. The end program I guess will take some time to get used to so I will forge on eventually.

MacBook Pro has the Lightning connector ports and the Apple Super Drive DVD reader (with USB plug connector) would only connect via the Apple USB-C Lightning connector to my MacBook Pro. The 2 Lightning port Adapter strip (Non-Apple) did not work the Apple SuperDVD Drive - making this purchase mandatory for me! Love using it though as it is sleek and easy to use.

Matching silver Apple color it was great to open up and try to use: it only connected to my new MacBook Pro 16 by buying an apple connector as my MacBook has the Lightning 3 connector ports only and the SuperDrive only has a USB connector. Once done though it is really great: just insert disc, it reads it & then once done just eject with the MacBook finder eject button.

Finally got my MacBook Pro to actually use the mouse! It feels sleek, super easy to use.
Shape: takes use to make it feel right - it does not have the hump my logitech style mouse has - but after one day of use it feels more natural.
Speed: I don't know if it is because I have never used a Mac - the on screen speed is a bit slow: I maxed out the mouse setting- I will have to dig to maybe get it to move at a quicker pace. Its a bit off putting and this is one reason I have put it down for a 4 out of 5 for ease of use.
Bluetooth connectivity: Connects via being linked by wire to the computer. However make sure it is switched on before firing up the computer again after a break: otherwise it needs to be reconnected via wire to get it recognized again (Other reason for ease of use 4/5).
Neat trick: It is a mobile touch pad: swipe up, down, sideways.
Moves: very easy as the bottom has two long smooth lines of glide skis.
A beautiful piece of equipment I have been blessed with and I am sure it will continue to give me endless hours of fun as I adapt to the wonderful world of Apple!

After struggling with getting horrible cut-out pictures, now I have superb reception - crystal clear! Easy to set up- just use the mounting bracket in the box (set up in the strongest signal direction) (check strongest signal with a free app at http://www.antennasdirect.com/blog/antenna-point-app-everyone/ ) - the antenna did not even need the signal booster that came with the box. If you use a signal splitter however, make sure the booster is used before the splitter otherwise TV damage can occur.

I could not believe the value I got for my hard earned dollars- but there it is! The sleek ergonomic design sits quietly on my desk next to my laptop: the back up program built into the drive was quick and efficient- even for my old Vaio laptop which is now about 10 years old - the USB port handled the up load fine and I am happy all my photo memories are backed up and safe. It runs quietly and so far in its young life it has most excellently performed to expectation. Thank you Best Buy - you are the Best!!

Other then Dvd and cd function what is the purpose of it? Debating if I really need to purchase it.
The little handbook I have got with the dive summarizes all it does: "Use ... to lay and burn DVD's, CD's. You can watch a DVD, install software, create a backup disc. I personally have not yet got my Mac to use it on but I intend recording several CD's I own onto my Mac to listen free of charge on my iPhone! A lot of software is available on CD and it is very useful to have to create back ups of very important data which you do not want to loose. I also intend editing my collection of videos I have on my camera and burning them onto discs to watch when I feel nostalgic on my sound system DVD player. So............. if you would like to do any of this then get one - they are really inexpensive and I love the thought I have a slim PC because I don't have it in the PC! Much lighter to carry with me.

What are the actual measurements of the antenna? How high, wide etc
I mounted it about a month ago: it's about 2 feet wide and a foot high. It mounts onto a bracket which I located onto my home about 25 foot above the ground on a side wall. So it's big but not overly too big: it is a solid one piece with a separate mounting bracket.

what do i have have to just watch my tv? no streaming or dvr stuff. i can do that later. just want the very basics. how long is the cable? can longer one be added? thanks. ann
Cable with it is about 6 foot long. I set it up for my daughter in Carrollton TX as she had moved there and it works super well just in the shelf next to her TV indoors! I guess you could extend the cable but you may not need to do that. It came with an electronic booster - just plug the booster into the cable before it goes into the TV and it is USB powered- hopefully your TV has a USP port at the back otherwise you will have to get a USB power plug- the antenna I got did not have one & they said they would ship it for free if you need it. It can also be pinned to a wall next to the TV. Just connect the cables and enjoy!

What is the Data transfer rate? Is it SATA 3 6.0Gb/s? What is the Spindle Speed? Is it 7200 RPM? What about the Cache? Is it 256MB?
I do not know the stats you request- you may get that from the Western Digital web site but I have an oldish Sony Vaio with a ITB SSD hard drive, with i7 CPU and USB 1 ports and it backed up the 350GB on the SSD in about 4 hours - so in my book it is pretty quick and it would be much quicker on USB 2 & 3 I guess
