I backed up my hard drive and it took several hours. The next day there was a flaw with the SanDisk and it didn't recognize my password. I ended up reformatting it and took the stupid password stuff off of it. Now I use it just as I would use a thumb drive and haven't had any issues since I reformatted it.

This comes in a nice carry case, and is very organized. However, the first time I used it in Sydney it worked intermittently. Then it started to smell like it was burning. I unplugged it and the adapter was pretty warm. I ended up using a transformer box from the Resort.
I then used it in Cairns and it worked well. I came back though Sydney and once again it didn't work as described. When we went to New Zealand I didn't have any problems.
I considered taking it back, and may do so still.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
