Will this work on Nikon D3400 and 3500 cameras
as Far as I know it will , the lens mount is the same on DX and FX Cameras so it should mount. there is a 1.5 Crop Factor for DX cameras . most Nikon cameras use the same Electronic Connections so it should function the same . I have never used the D3400 or the 3500, but I think they will work. Check the Camera manual for Lens Compatabilty.

Looking for a lens that will take great basketball action shots indoor with gymnasium (which is ever changing) lighting. Will this one do that?
I don't know for sure but I think I would use it myself. It is Fast, sharp and has a good reach
