There’s only one down side of this device. Unlike the GoPro chargers this one needs to stay upright on a desk or what not or the batteries will dislodge from their ports. Other than that, this is a great secondary charger with big savings. No hesitations here.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Will the charger shut off once battery(s) are fully charged? Is there a danger of overcharging?

No problems, stops when fully charge just like any other charger does.
