This NETGEAR Gigabit unmanaged switch helps businesses cost effectively expand their network to Gigabit speeds and high port counts. The GS105 switch comes with 5 Gigabit copper ports in a desktop metal case and is wall-mountable. This switch is energy-efficient, built to last, and rigorously tested to provide the reliability businesses need. 802.1p traffic prioritization and jumbo frame support allow for seamless integration with sophisticated networks.

I have a bunch of 10/100 switches from Netgear, this is the first 10/100/1000 switch. It delivers as advertised with 1G speeds. Netgear makes solid networking gear. The switch is zero configuration plug and play.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can I plug this into the modem and then two routers in to it to create two networks? And would it slow down my speeds?

You should be able to but beware of loops. If all of your hardwired equipment is on one or the other, this should work fine.

I got a new PACE 5268 router from AT&T. My WD MyCloud will not connect to it (it worked fine with the old router). Online digging says 'just connect a network switch to the router and then plug the WD MyCloud into the switch'. Will this switch do the job?

This may do the trick. I suspect it's a cable issue, a negotiation speed issue, or the port on one end or the other is bad.

If it's cable all you need is a different cable
If its speed negotiation issue, this switch should handle the negotiation.
If it's a bad port, you will need to get new hardware on one end or the other.
