The WiFi extender is only good for what I would consider a small apartment or room that is in close proximity to your modem or router.

will this work to extended my wifi signal to my outdoor studio, about 400 or so feet from my router? i can get a signal about 200 ft from the house but need 400 ft.

The WiFi extender is good only at a distance halfway from your modem , router connection. So measure the distance and then go halfway.

Will this device work with Spectrum?

I think the WiFi extender works with any ISP unfortunately I have X-finity .
