I am having the exact same issue. Vizio customer support had me “power cycle” the remote and the TV and it didn’t help, so they sent me a brand new remote— new remote, new batteries, same issue. When using controls on my phone, like for the YouTube app, or using the physical buttons on the back of the TV there is no issue. I don’t know if it’s just a horrible remote design or if the IR receiver on the TV is bad, but I’m returning this TV.
