I was an early adopter of the RAX200 (05/08/19) and have been pleased with it's performance. I have over 15 wireless devices connected to it and I am not getting any lag nor drops from those devices. I did have issues with older firmware but with the latest firmware version 1.0.1.12_1.0.41 it has been very stable. I am using a CM1100 modem with Ethernet Port Aggregation enabled and my internet speeds are at what I am paying for through my ISP. All in all I am happy with this new WiFi 6 router.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was an early adopter of the Arlo Video Doorbell and I am very pleased with this device. The device has been preforming well connected to my RAX200 router and I have not seen any downtime or disconnections. I have been ringing the doorbell many times and I have been getting the doorbell calls to my cellphones without issues as well as cloud recordings and I am pleased with the quality. I like that the doorbell has a Tamper Detection which triggers the siren if someone attempts to remove the doorbell; here is hopping Arlo will add this feature to their cameras. The Doorbell currently connects directly to your router and does not use the Arlo Smart Hub although using the Smart Hub will be an option in the future. The doorbell also comes with free 3 month subscription trial which is nice. I also heard from a little birdy that when the doorbell gets support for the Smart Hub that you will be able to use the Local Storage and have the videos save to that location. I also heard from a little birdy that the option to view your files stored on the Smart Hub through Local Storage will be viewable through the Arlo app very soon as well as some other new features to come. All in all I am pleased with the Video Doorbell and I like it better then the Audio Doorbell although I still like the Audio Doorbell because it does not need direct power and I can place it anywhere whereas this Video Doorbell does need direct power and uses you existing doorbell wires to charge the internal lithium ion battery.

Loving this system, I was one of the first adopters of this system and it has come a long way from what is started out to be. The video quality compared to the Arlo Pro 2 is a vast improvement with the 4K. The integrated LED light for colored night vision is great; this is something the Arlo Pro 2 was missing. The two-way audio is OK considering the mic and speakers are so small and I am not sure they can do better considering how much space they have to work with. There is an Auto Zoom & Tracking that is cute but it is a bit sluggish, I am guessing the processor in the camera can’t keep up with the motion so, the Auto Zoom & Tracking is more of a gimmick at this point. The system has Smart Notification/Detection that will notify you if there is a Package, People, Vehicles, Animals or All Other Motion (more types of Detection coming soon from what I hear) and seems to be improving all the time as other owners share their videos to improve the Smart Notification/Detection. There is a subscription charge for the Smart Notification/Detection and also a subscription for the 4k Premium Video Recording (PVR), but it is well worth it. There is also a separate subscription for continuous video recording (CVR); all in all the subscription charges look like they are a bit cheaper than some competitors. The Arlo app is full of features that allow you to do almost anything you can think of doing with the Ultra camera system. I setup the Arlo doorbell with this Ultra camera and it’s working great and when someone rings the doorbell, I just answer the phone call on my Cellphone and I get audio and video. There is also a MicroSD card slot on the Smart Hub so that you can have videos stored locally, but currently in order to view the saved videos you need to remove the MicroSD and insert it into a computer or other device to view them. I hear that Arlo will be adding an option to view the stored videos on the MicroSD through the Arlo app sometime in the future. There are a bunch of things to talk about with this Ultra system and I could go on for a long time but all in all I am happy with the product.

I am using the XR700 with a CM1100 cable modem and this router has been very stable for me and I have 15 wireless devices that have yet to loss there connection. I love the Plex Media Server integration and the Hybrid VPN. As far as gaming the Duma OS is very nice.
The only thing this router does not have is Ethernet Port Aggregation or Link Aggregation.
It would have been nice to have WiFi AX although it's still very early for that as far as device compatibility.

I would defiantly recommend this product WiFi is strong and stable and easy to setup and lots of options in the routerlogin.net or Duma OS. There is even a debug page to adjust the fan settings routerlogin.net/debug.htm

Do you have to be connected to the same wireless network as the camera itself or does it work remotely?
When setting up the doorbell you should be connected to the WiFi SSID on your cellphone that you want the doorbell to use.
Note: The doorbell uses 2.4GHz not 5GHz also do not use channel 12 or 13 on you router or you may have issues connecting the doorbell to your router.

I have arlo cameras already will the door bell store video in my base station with the rest of the camera memory
Not yet, currently the video doorbell connects directly to your router, so it does not have access to the Local Storage on the Base Station nor Smart Hub although this is planned in a future firmware update where you would add the doorbell to your Base Station or Smart Hub and utilize the Local Storage.

You can have as many Base Stations or Smart Hubs as you like on an account, but each subscription plan has a limit on how many cameras you can have on an account. refer to image.

is this router(Netgear nighthawk AD7200) compatible or good to use with the Netgear AC1900 modem/router? should i buy a newer modem to go with this router?
Well this router will replace that Netgear AC1900 R7000. The XR700 is much stronger and should handle all your devices. You could use that Netgear AC1900 R7000 as an Access Point if you relay wanted to. As far as a newer modem that depends on the internet speed your currently paying for and or if you plan to upgrade your internet speed plan. I am using a CM1100 which is overkill for what I am paying for, but it has been very stable. I do not see the CM1100 here at Best Buy but the CM1000 is the same.
The only diffrence between the CM1000 and the CM1100 is that the CM1100 has Ethernet Port Aggregation and the CM1000 does Not have Ethernet Port Aggregation (refer to image). Netgear sells several modems. One thing I would suggest is to make sure your modems dBmV levels are -7 to +7 dBmV. You can check that in the modems login page (refer to image), as you can see my levels are pretty close, I had the tech come out and do there best with my lines.
