This is a great replacement for our HP Pavilion Sandy Bridge Core i7 machine from 2010, a great machine at that time and the first laptop I could tolerate using, which we finally decided to replace. I myself would prefer a 1.0 TB SSD for the main drive, and the Intel Optane isn't really necessary, but the primary user of this is my wife, an RN. The only thing I've had to help her with so far is installation of our networked printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great price and features except that rather than the usual 9 foot cord, this one is only 6 feet long. This was a problem for my application. I wish that I had known about the cord length. I had to remove the original cord and solder in a longer one. This was not easy to do as the cord is attached to a fragile circuit board. I recommend it but with the warning that the cord is shorter than usual.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Is the laptop Windows 11 compatible?

IMO it's a bit early, but HP seems to be almost saying that it will be compatible but uses odd wording that makes it sound as though HP's currently shipping computers will actually make Windows 11 even better:

"HP’s currently shipping Windows-PC based portfolio will enhance features from Windows 11, outlined earlier today by Microsoft. This includes:

Currently shipping HP Spectre, HP ENVY, and HP Pavilion portfolios, including the HP Spectre x360 14, HP ENVY x360 15, and the HP Pavilion All-in-One."

How long is the cord

Six feet long, shorter than usual.
