Bought this device because when we upgraded our internet to the 400mbs package our internet kept dropping intermittently. Sometimes for hours at a time. I contacted our provider and complained and they troubleshot it and said there was nothing wrong on their end. So I decided to experiment and removed the old splitter and plugged my cable directly in to the modem. It fixed the dropping issue so I knew I needed something better than what I had. Bought and installed the Rocketfish Amplifier and have had no issues at all.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We finally bought the ring doorbell and it was so hard to choose from all there is available. We went with the inexpensive model of the many available and we are more than happy with our purchase. We are so pleased with it that we will be purchasing the home camera kit next!

If you are renting a modem/router from the internet providers then you are missing out on great internet. I always have top speeds and will never own another brand of router.

Can i use this to boost a wifi connection? I would install on incoming line from cable company that connects to the modem.thank you
I don't think it will boost your wifi signal, but it will improve the cable signal to the modem. Our internet kept dropping for hours at a time and I thought it was the providers fault, but it was actually because I was using a regular splitter to run cable to my modem and my TV. Once we installed this device we have not had anymore issues at all and we get speeds up to 425mbs and our service is only for 400mbs.

Will this amplify my internet signal? Having slow internet speeds coming from modem. This points to weak signal strength in the cable leading to modem. If I put this amplifier in-line, (between input cable & cable modem), will it improve internet signal?
I plug the cable in to the device and then run the cable to my modem and my television cable box and everything is working great now. I was having issues with my internet dropping over and over and thought it was a provider issue, but it turned out to be the splitter I was using. So I highly recommend this product.
